What is the role of an accrediting body?

An Accreditation Body is a recognised organization within a set industry that provides formal assessment services.  The assessment once passed displays a formal certified third party recognition of competence and conformity of the assessed company to perform specific tasks.

The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) accreditation body is a highly respected & trusted hallmark in the security & fire sectors, demonstrating technical expertise that is consistently meeting the highest standards, including the relevant British Standards and a reassuring high quality of service.


We are NSI Gold Accredited & have obtained our ISO 9001 approval for Quality Management Systems, ISO 45001 approval for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems & ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems.

SafeContractor delivers a tailored health and safety accreditation allowing contractors to showcase their capabilities to potential customers. To gain your health and safety accreditation you submit your details on one online platform and complete an assessment once a year.

Gold membership includes further validation checks using an enhanced prequalification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS 91. The company’s credentials for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption policies. Some of these policies form part of the Cabinet Office Selection Questionnaire (SQ), which the public sector is expected to comply with.
